New cameras monitor traffic
Drivers who want to know how bad traffic is on the New York State Thruway can now check out three new traffic cameras in Rockland. The cameras have been installed near interchanges 11 (Nyack), 12 (Palisades Center) and 13 (Palisades Interstate Parkway). There’s also a new one by Interchange 8 (I-287) in Westchester. Over the next two months, the state Thruway Authority expects to add 25 new cameras from New York City to Buffalo, with the majority of them in this area.
