Israel - Supervising Rabbis Approve New Kosher Internet

Israel - A Rabbinical Committee on Communications and the telecommunications provider Bezeq have agreed on the activation of a separate internet servers for the ultra-Orthodox public in order to block access to porn sites and additional ‘forbidden’ content in haredi homes.

According to the agreement, ultra-Orthodox households will receive a separate ADSL line, and the rabbinical committee will supervise the online content and allow access to only a few sites, apparently including e-mail service and haredi news sites.
At a later stage Bezeq itself may post online ultra-Orthodox content, with the rabbinical committee’s authorization.
